Want to step a little deeper into Japanese culture? Nozawa Onsen is a world apart: Twisting, narrow streets wind  back and forth among tiny shops stocked with everything from the latest skis to fresh produce, yukata robes, and sugary delicatessen treats.  Precipitous steps lead up into sacred cedar groves and glorious wooden temple complexes. At night time, Nozawa really looks its mysterious best as the sulphurous steam wreathes the town and shop windows glow through the gloom.

Add even more to your vacation by taking a day out to visit the snow monkeys who live at a local hot spring, as well as the stunning Zenkoji Temple. Your Nozawa Onsen package is customizable to suit you. All packages include accommodation and liftpass, for your desireed length of stay. Choose your accommodation style and enjoy the freedom to either stay in and eat or explore the eating options around town

Day one: Transfer to resort, check in to your accommodation

Day two through four: After breakfast head out to explore Nozawa’s great ski terrain. After skiing return to town and either discover one of the many public onsens or relax in your hotel’s private onsen. In the evenings, stroll the narrow streets and choose where to eat that evening. As you eat, watch the bustle of street life in this friendly little town.

Day five: Visit snow monkeys and Zenkoji temple ona fully guided bus tour.

Day six and seven: Enjoy Nozawa’s great skiing and continue to exploring the many onsens. In the evenings head out to deepen your knowledge of Japanese cuisine and hospitality.

Day eight: check out, depart

PLEASE NOTE: let us know on your booking form if you’d also like to visit the Hakuba Valley for a few days. We’ll work with you to build an awesome itinerary!
